Mekong Estate, Luang Prabang

Mekong Estate is one of the few Luang Prabang Villas that is privately owned yet welcomes outside guests.

The residence is nestled into a large garden with lush bamboo and beautiful bougainvillea bushes, right on the river bank of the Mekong. A truly amazing location for visitors to unwind and enjoy the warmly Indochine atmosphere and the mystic landscape of northern Lao.

Mekong Estate consists of six individuall suites and houses. Every unit is furnished with lots of love for small details while at the same time making sure that guests get to enjoy every comfort a stylish home away from home should offer.

The interior design reflects the beauty of past colonial times; many local, earth tone coloured materials add to the warm and cozy atmosphere.

The Garden Loft, a charming loft type detached house, ideal for one or two guests, opens up into the garden and provides lots of space to read and relax outside.

Bamboo-Suite I and II. This two-story house is located right next to the Garden Loft. It is surrounded by large, yellow Bamboo and offers extra privacy. The two suites are perfect for a couple.

Jade-Suite. This suite is slightly larger than the Bamboo-Suites and offers an amazing river view as it is located slightly up the hill.

Maison Rouge is an elegant Lao colonial style villa overlooking the river and the large lap pool. Maison Rouge is suitable for 6 guests. It has its own fully equipped kitchen.

Sunset House. This residence can be rented exclusively (4 bedrooms for up to eight guests) or partical. It sits right over the pool and sundeck and also offers an amazing view, especially in the early evening hours.

Directly on the river bank of Mekong, just outside the center of Luang Prabang.

Driving distance from the airport to Mekong Estate is approx. 20 minutes. Into the center by Tuk Tuk approx. 10 minutes. There are bikes available for guests to explore the surroundings individually.
